Meet the Owner

Laura Ripley is the founder and creative force behind Northern Frightsy. After spending 14 years in the oil industry and feeling unfulfilled by her job, Laura decided to take matters into her own hands and create something that truly excited her. That’s when she started Northern Frights: a company that specialises in immersive horror, fantasy, and other fun events.

Laura felt that Scotland was missing out on the kind of exciting, inclusive events that she loved attending in other parts of the world. She wanted to create experiences that would bring people together and give them a sense of community, while also allowing them to escape into a world of fantasy and fun.

Through Northern Frights, Laura has been able to do just that. Her events have become a beloved fixture in the Scottish entertainment scene, drawing in crowds of people who are looking for something different and exciting. Whether you’re a horror fan or just looking for a unique night out, Northern Frights has something for everyone.
