In another titan-sized move, Tyler Perry and Netflix have officially teamed up to set sail on a creative partnership. One that promises to leave a profound mark on the entertainment sphere.
Full story below…
The multi-year first-look pact will see Perry wear multiple hats as a writer, director, and producer, serving up a diverse collection of feature films and bolstering the streamer’s library with his storytelling gravitas.
With a work rate as prolific as the fruits of his hustle, Perry already has projects lined up at Netflix.
‘Six Triple Eight,’ anchored by Kerry Washington, will unravel the extraordinary and inspiring true story of the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color stationed overseas during World War II.
Elsewhere. ‘Mea Culpa,’ starring Kelly Rowland, will chronicle the gripping journey of a criminal defense attorney grappling with the mysterious case of an artist accused of a shocking crime.
The partnership builds on Perry’s previous successful collaborations with Netflix, which include ‘A Jazzman’s Blues,’ ‘A Fall from Grace,’ and the revival of his most renowned character, Madea, in ‘A Madea Homecoming.’
